DRIVER BIOGRAPHY

David Sieders exploded into the racing scene back in 2002 making his mark with his cool temperament, strong desire and natural ability. Competing in numerous racing categories, David has also excelled at every point, demonstrating his true driving ability and versatility.

After taking out third place in the Rookies’ Class of the 2003 Formula Ford Championship, David recorded 12 Race wins in the Aussie Racing Car Series a year later, more than any other driver, and was forced to miss some rounds due to other racing commitments.

David showed his great versatility in 2005 taking out second placing in the Kumho Lotus Trophy, at the same time also coming third overall in the National Formula Ford Championship.

After the great results in 2005, Sieders took a major step in his racing career when he was chosen as the first Test and Development Driver for Factory-based Ford Performance Racing (FPR) in 2006, which coincides with the team’s best ever results to date.

In 2009, and with a WildCard Entry into the Enduros, David finished inside the top 15 on debut in the Championship Series at Philip Island, three places ahead of the 2008-09 back-to-back and then defending and leading Series Champion Jamie Whincup.

David has been racing with his family-run Sieders Racing Team in the Development Series since 2007, and in 2009 finished in 6th position for his last two rounds, including a race podium at Sandown.

David’s results continue to attract attention up and down pit-lane, with a number of teams discussing options for Enduro Co-Drives and Full-Time Driving in the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
